In their first round matchup, things haven't been friendly between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets. Whether it's Jimmy Butler and Dillon Brooks exchanging words or Alperen Sengun and Draymond Green battling in the post, the series has been nothing short of chippy.
Despite the Rockets rolling to a blowout win over the Warriors on Wednesday night, things got heated yet again in Game 5.
In the fourth quarter, with Golden State's reserves in the game, Moses Moody fouled Brooks on a rebound attempt. Following the foul, Pat Spencer and Sengun bumped shoulders and got into an exchange. Trayce Jackson-Davis quickly came to Spencer's defense, shoving Sengun.
The official replayed the scuffle, assessing technicals to Jackson-Davis and Sengun while Spencer was ejected for an "illegal headbutt."
Prior to being ejected, Spencer helped spark a late fourth-quarter run for the Warriors. Spencer finished with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 14 minutes.
With the Rockets cruising to a blowout win on Wednesday, the series will move back to the Bay Area on Friday for Game 6.
