UConn superstar guard Paige Bueckers joined the Dallas Wings on Monday night as the first pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft in New York City.

While speaking with ESPN's Holly Rowe after her draft selection, Bueckers teared up while discussing her Huskies teammates and how much they meant to her.

"They've changed my life," Bueckers said of her UConn teammates. "Just extremely grateful for them."

She even advocated for two of her UConn teammates, Kaitlyn Chen and Aubrey Griffin, as smart draft prospects for other WNBA teams selecting players in Monday's draft process.

What a cool moment this was for Bueckers to honor her former teammates in such a big moment for her career.
