GREEN BAY − A day after securing their starting offensive line, the Green Bay Packers also are shoring up their depth.
The Packers are re-signing tackle Darian Kinnard on a one-year, $3.75 million deal, according to ESPN's Pat McAfee. Kinnard was scheduled to become a restricted free agent. He arrived in a trade last season for a sixth-round draft pick sent to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kinnard played 285 snaps last season, starting four games at right tackle. He was not the Packers preferred option to replace injured starter Zach Tom at right tackle down the stretch, falling behind 2024 first-round draft pick Jordan Morgan. Kinnard allowed 10 pressures, including a half-sack against the Denver Broncos. He occasionally lined up as an extra lineman at tight end in jumbo package.
The Packers still could be in the market to add tackle depth, especially in the draft. They are expected to start Morgan and Tom as their bookend tackles in 2026 with Anthony Belton penciled in at right guard, but Belton is also capable of sliding out to tackle if necessary.
