After a disastrous day of injuries on Sunday in Denver, the Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 16 on Tuesday. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Thursday with official playing status designations, before facing the Chicago Bears in Week 16 of the 2025 season on Saturday.

Here’s everything to know from the Packers' first injury report:

Participation report

  • Did not participate: RB Josh Jacobs (knee), DE Micah Parsons (knee), RB MarShawn Lloyd (calf/hamstring), RT Zach Tom (knee/back), DE Lukas Van Ness (foot), WR Christian Watson (chest/shoulder), TE Josh Whyle (concussion), WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), S Evan Williams (knee)
  • Limited participation: RB Chris Brooks (chest), OL Darian Kinnard (neck), DE Collin Oliver (hamstring), WR Savion Williams (foot)
  • Full participation: DE Brenton Cox Jr. (groin), WR Matthew Golden (wrist), QB Jordan Love (left shoulder)
  • Note: the Packers held a walkthrough practice on Tuesday.

Big things to know

-- The Packers listed 16 players on the first injury report. Eight have new injuries. Nine did not participate during Tuesday's walkthrough. This is a bruised and battered football team coming out of a physical battle in altitude in Denver on Sunday.

-- At least six preferred starters were DNPs, including Micah Parsons, who will go on injured reserve this week to open a roster spot up (possibly for Brenton Cox Jr., who practiced in full?).

-- The big injuries to monitor this week: Josh Jacobs, Zach Tom, Lukas Van Ness, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks and Evan Williams. They didn't practice on Tuesday, but all are assumed to have a chance to play Saturday. A lot of guys on the gameday 48-man roster are probably going to be playing at far lower than 100 percent against the Bears.

-- Receiver Jayden Reed hobbled off the field late in the fourth quarter on Sunday but is NOT listed on the first injury report.

-- A chest injury for Chris Brooks really complicates the running back position. Pierre Strong Jr. no longer has any practice squad elevations, so the Packers may need to make an addition at running back to protect themselves for Saturday, especially with Jacobs still battling his knee injury.

-- The same goes at tight end, where Josh Whyle is in concussion protocol. Luke Musgrave and John FitzPatrick are the only healthy tight ends.

-- Expect many roster moves this week. The guess here is both the active roster and practice squad will need be adjusted over the course of the week to make sure the Packers have 48 semi-healthy players to go in Chicago on Saturday.

-- The Bears also held a walk through on Tuesday. Receivers Rome Odunze and Luther Burden II and defensive tackle Andrew Billings did not practice, while linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was limited as he opened up his 21-day practice window.
