Green Bay Packers star quarterback Jordan Love is finding out what it’s like to have dad strength.
While talking to reporters recently, the former Utah State Aggies joked about finally possessing the proverbial superpower that every dad has.
“Jordan Love says he’s benching 400 pounds now because of his new dad strength,” shared Matt Schneidman of The Athletic via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.
Love and his wife, Ronika Stone, announced in May the birth of their first child, a baby girl they named Rayna Capri Love.
“A full month with our little ray of sunshine. Rayna Capri Love thank you for making our family whole, you are our everything,” the caption of the couple’s shared social post about the birth of Rayna Capri.
Entering an NFL season as a dad for the first time, Love clearly has a huge inspiration to play even better on the field. He is already regarded as one of the better quarterbacks in the league, even though he’s yet to earn a Pro Bowl or All-Pro nod. But 2026 could be his year.
In 2025, Love threw for a total of 3,381 passing yards and 23 touchdowns against six interceptions, while completing 66.3 percent of his passes through 15 games.
Needless to say, Love is a crucial — if not the most crucial — singular component of Green Bay, which is also looking to go on a much deeper playoff run than in each of the last two seasons, where they failed to get past the wild-card round.
Surely, Love will do a lot of heavy lifting for Green Bay to accomplish that goal.

Can Love lift the Packers to playoff success in the 2026 NFL season?
