PA Little League squad advances to World Series tourney in Williamsport

The Pennsylvania Little League champions from West Chester are headed to Williamsport.

Behind an eight strikeout performance from pitcher Cole Warner, East Side (PA) Little League grabbed a 3-1 win over Naamans (Delaware) Little League in the Mid-Atlantic Region final Friday afternoon in Bristol, Conn.

The Delaware state champ Naaman squad defeated Washington DC 7-2 Thursday to stay alive and had a much stronger showing vs. Pennsylvania in the championship then in Sunday’s MAC opener, which West Chester won handily, 8-1.

The Pa. Team opens World Series action Friday, Aug. 21.

When is the Little League World Series 2026?​

The Little League World Series 2026 begins Aug. 19 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The tournament runs through Aug. 30 and features 20 teams from the United States and around the world.

The Mid-Atlantic Region champion will earn one of 10 U.S. berths in the tournament.

When did Morrisville, Levittown win the Little League World Series​

International teams have won the majority of the Little League World Series titles in recent years, but two Bucks County teams hold the honor of keeping the crown in the United States. The 1955 Morrisville 12 year olds took the title and five years later in 1960, Levittown duplicated the feat.
