Tweeted that he's contemplating retirement as well. Bad news for the Seahawks D.

I hate the team but you don't want to see that for a player.

That sucks. What a crappy way to end your career. :( I feel for the guy even if he does play for Satans army.

that really stinks. not a seahawks fan in any shape or form, but he is a great dude on and off the field as far as I know. the best DB I've ever watch play at Texas and they had some good ones under mack brown back in the day.

No way the man is going to retire in his prime. He is 27.

HUGE blow for the Seahawks, I think he is by far, not even close, the best player on their defense.

the NFL is so odd

so many hits you see where it seems certain an injury has to have happened, and the player jumps up

the play Thomas got hurt on didnt look like any big deal -- yet.........

Tell that to Robert Smith, Rugby. Sometimes players make the smart long-term decision.

True, VERY true. Robert Smith was a great back too!

Even though he is on the Seahawks, and it would help the Cardinals, I would not want to see him retire. He is an amazing football player.

Yeah, it's really sad to see a career end due to injury. Still, he's got all the money he'll need, I assume, and if he's this worried about his health, I'd back him in retiring.

Didn't Robert Smith have multiple blown knees in his career, though? Broken bones are different...unless there is more damage than being reported now.
