I respect your opinion on my team, and you never hold the punches Krang.
Now you'll hear mine on yours...and i'm forced to watch a lot of your team. Doubt you see much more than two games per year of the Rams, and highlights don't count, but i digress.
You are correct here, but I'm a fan of football and it's not hard to see the Rams problems. I also watch their matchups against the Seahawks since I live in Washington state.
I think the Cards will have the best offense in the division this season, and it won't even be close. Palmer will get the job done with better protection and your WR's are top notch. Ellington is a stud but there's nothing behind him. There's also nothing behind Palmer. Your OLine should be suitable in non-division games. You will not be able to block our guys. Period.
I think you underrate Drew Stanton, and while their would be a fall off, it's hardly the precipice you speak of. True there isn't much behind Ellington, but Arians doesn't need much of a running game to score points. This is 2014, a time where teams even with lousy RBs can win 10+ games.
The Cardinals will struggle blocking the Rams, but I think you discount Arians offensive mind. The Cardinals will slow the Rams rush just enough to win. Low scoring games, but I think the Cardinals score 17 while the Rams bungle their way to 10.
I wouldn't want to have to be forced to throw vs your secondary if i get behind by two or more scores. Dangerous ball skills and cover guys throughout. Your DB's will eat QB's up in those situations despite a weak pass rush.
True, but while I think the Cardinals pass rush falls off a bit with the loss of our inside backers, we will probably not be awful. I think we will be a middle of the pack pass rushing team which will be adequate. But I don't think this matters covering the likes of Tavon Austin, David Givens, that Titans reject and the other band of misfit toys you call a WR corps.
#1 vs the run last season. Nice. You guys are going to get run over in this division this season. Up the gut, to the outside. Bad division to be in if you can't dictate the LOS.
The Cardinals lost Dockett, who has seen better days and was reportedly being outplayed by the player who replaced him (Frostee Rucker) and brought in a solid guy in Tommy Kelly. The Cardinals lost Dansby and Washington and replaced them with Minter and Foote who shouldn't be a fall off against the run (the pass is another story). I fail to see why you predict that the Cardinals run defense to be so bad. Sorry, but Zac Stacy might be a success story but he's not an elite NFL RB.
I also look at your stellar secondary and see a bunch of guys who aren't going to help much in stopping the run. You'd better hope that the rookie is ready to hit people. Peterson and Cromartie won't. Mathieu might be a little gun shy to mix it up until he gets comfortable on that knee. Not a lot of run support for a short-handed front seven IMO.
Mathieu gun shy? I don't think he knows what gun shy means. He'll come out hitting hard. Plus Deone Bucannon should be a force against the run fairly early in his career. He'll line up as a nickel LB at times and should be a plus run defender.
I see an outstanding offense that will be in some shootouts and a soft defense at the LOS.
Wishful thinking on the "soft defense at the LOS". We still have Calais Campbell, Dan Williams, Alameda Ta'amu, Frostee Rucker, Tommy Kelly, Larry Foote, Matt Shaughnessy, Sam Acho, and Deone Bucannon. Every one of those aforementioned players are good run down defenders. Where they are not strong is rushing the passer as a group. The Rams won't be able to pass and will be ineffective against this team
