I'll be honest - this is one aspect of fandom I really don't get. Why should we care so much about the schedule? We already know the home vs. road opponents. Unless you're making travel plans, I'm not sure why any of this matters.

But don't listen to me; I'm a guy who cares deeply about team colors...

When the BYE is is important. Especially for this team apparently.
Rather we open the season road heavy or home heavy is important. Especially considering who those opponents might be.
Starting the season with 6 of 8 on the road against teams like Buffalo and KC can not only have us open to a slow start but can also crush a young teams confidence. It would be a grueling test of our coaching and vet leadership.

But starting the season 4@ home and 4 away...with mid/easier opponents can build confidence and momentum...especially if a couple tough teams are sprinkled in and we do well.
I would prefer we get our BYE early...like week 5...we come out of the BYE flat every year so it's best we get it early so we can recover before kyler starts his late season fade.
If we can get past week 14 at like 8-6...the defense and rush attack should be able to carry kyler to the playoffs

I think we open at home this year. We’ve been on the road the last two years.
The 2 leaks I have seen were both division games to open.
[email protected] KC Vs Chargers in Mexico iirc
I wouldn't mind opening against the Rams @ home this season...we seem to come out of the gates hot

I just don't want our Indy game to be played in Germany. Other than that it doesn't matter to me much.

We got 4 stadiums left on the bucket list. And Indy is one of them. Would be a long wait to get that game again.

Oh man, I will be so pissed.

I live less than an hour from Lucas Oil Stadium.

I grew up in West Lafayette and have been a Pacers fan since the ABA days...the Fieldhouse is on my bucket list as well.

I don't hold it in as high esteem as free agency or the draft, but it's significant about how rough it might be on the team. This year, our road games are favorable, without any outdoor opponents besides Cincinnati that could be in the cold or snow. If there's no international game, we might have the shortest travel distance of any team. That adds up.

But I'll also admit that I'd love to get back to at least one game this year after my injury. There's some no-go weekends like Thanksgiving, Christmas, family birthdays... last year every date was impossible to get to.

As an out of town season ticket holder, the calendar release is as big as the draft for me. When these games fall has a big impact on how many I can make it too.

I absolutely hate the games being played outside the U.S.
Not fond of them either

Difficult travel for the teams and they come on TV at odd times

Not to overlook that you can lose a home game which could make the difference in you making the playoffs or a higher seeding
