I'll be brutally honest at this point. If Kyler lights it up against Dallas, I will give him credit for the game but no longer get all excited about it. Been there, done that. I'll say he did well and who cares unless he does it again. And again. The only way he redeems himself for me is to completely ball out the entire rest of the season, lift the team, and lead them to the playoffs. One big game won't even move the needle. That's where he's led me.

This is where the big comeback starts my friend! :)

Next year we'll point back to this game as where the tide was turned!

Believe it or not, we all want Kyler to succeed. Do I think he will beat Dallas? Yes. But we need to see more than what we have seen. I believe that is the consensus.

Understand daves!

And I'm saying post-DAL all of the Murray's detractors will be offering various mea culpas for doubting K1!

1. One game would not make up for 6+ years of failure
2. It shouldn't take Brissett T bagging him to wake his ass up
3. He could throw for 400 and 3 touchdowns and it would be a fraud. I simply don't trust him to be consistent and never will.

1. Okay.
2. People are different.
3. I believe it was George Washington who said "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". Wise words that later we'll reflect back upon. :)

if kyler plays well enough he gets to start the week after - that's it - we now know what both qbs are capable of - if kyler murray isn't playing up to his capabilities (meaning top 14ish?) sit his ass - if he remembers how to football play his ass

‘Everyone wants K1 to play well’

‘If K1 plays well against Dallas it’s meaningless.’
If all you have is a dull knife to cut your meat, I bet you're going to replace it, and I bet in the meantime you don't want it to slip and cut your hand instead. The obvious should not need stated, except to those with a Teflon agenda.

Even the PHNX squad is having an awakening.

I love stats like this. Kyler, aside from the Seattle game, played ahead in most games and DP went to a conservative running game in the 4th Q of these games.. JB was either playing from behind or going back and fourth with GB and kept throwing it. JB is a better pocket passer, Kyler can't see the whole field. So this makes sense.

Again, the only stat that matters.
This season
Kyler 2-3
JB 0-2

Since JG
Kyler 13-17
Anyone else 1-10

Neither gets it done, but Kyler has won games, JB has a single win in the last 3 season, which was last year. against the Bangles in week 1 in which he threw for 121 yards. I am all for JB starting the rest of the way, but lets not pretend we will see more win. We will see just more yards in the air.

And the week 6-7 games were arguably the two toughest teams we have faced. Certainly top 3.
Stop with this. GB is not a good road team. They gave up 40 to the Cowboys and lost to the Browns. We were their first road win. Indy is right now the best team and Seattle is a much tougher match up for us.

Laugh all you want @Stout , I bet you have stats to back up your take and you laughing at my facts.

We have a mid starting QB and an above average backup, but you all want to pretend like JB is more than he is. A career journeyman backup.

I will wait for your stats to prove mine wrong.

Jeebus, do you not watch the games? Sunday night, GB in Picksburgh? Talk about spiting your own argument by accident.

So no data? Got it!!

GB played a good road game finally! In Pittsburg where their offense showed up, but the defense still looked terrible. Got it.

I will. The only "stats" that matter are the ones showing how one QB can run the offense and the other can't. Kyler's done for. He's old news. The season's done for Ws and Ls mean absolutely nothing save in regards to draft picks and maybe keeping/losing a coach's job. Jacoby, against superior teams (Indy and yes, GB--your post above was a startling self-own about GB) put up superior stats. Like, by far. Stats that belittle Kyler and his "accomplishments" this year.

Do you disagree that Jacoby has been better than Kyler this season? Or do pathetic, clinging on for victory with very little offense against two atrocious teams count for more?

Yes, laughing at your assertion is the only rational response.

The amount of folks who disagree with actual stats because they have the best arm chair QB eyes is astonishing. I am curious why you all aren't working for NFL teams? You'd all should be millionaires
