And why would the Jets trade for a player who doesn't want to play for them and wouldn't report?
The only way that work is the deal is something like the jet give us a 6th round pick and we give them K1 and a 5th. No risk for the jets at all, other than a 17 million dollar bonus. If he doesn't report they save money.

If the Jets want Kyler, they can decide to renegotiate his contract to give him more money. They have the room to get Kyler to "want" to go to the Jets. He probably realizes he will never win a super bowl so now it's how much dough can I collect.

This is most likely a true statement that really disappoints me and probably every football fan. Murray has some incredible talent and "could" have or "maybe" still could be a great player, but he obviously doesn't have the drive to get there. Who wouldn't study film to make it easier to win games and NOT get hit because you know where the blitzes are coming from?

(Perhaps unlike you SoonerLou) I think I’d rather see K1 go to New York or Atlanta where he would likely just fade into oblivion.

If he goes to Minnesota there’s a chance it could be… unpleasant…for a lot of us on the board.

Im kinda indifferent.

I think Minnesota could be a good spot for him, but if he assumes there aren't things he needs to work on/improve it'll be a brief stint there.

He might just blame it all on Arizona and KOC gives the job to JJ because he outworked him. It took Baker failing hard a couple times for the light to come on. And we could argue Baker has greater physical advantages. So there's no real need to worry. He'd still have to show us something different.

I see KOC and think of King of Cards.

The thought that KM would want to attach his future to a H-C who already has a noose around his neck seems less than probable to me. I would imagine that KM realizes he will never win a S-B about as much as Sam Darnold did when he was bouncing around from team to team.

I mean you could make that argument but unless “greater physical advantages” is a euphemism for height, you’d probably be wrong.
Not just height, but he's bulkier as well. Allows him to take hits in the pocket.

And I didn't think it in 2021, but I now think Baker has a stronger arm.

Baker has a lower BMI than Kyler does; he’s 7 lbs heavier but three inches taller.

Baker is tougher but i don’t consider that a physical ability.

I don’t know why everyone’s arguing.

If we keep him, the worst will happen and it will blow up in our face.

If we trade him, the worst will happen and it will blow up in our face (à la Simeon, Thomas Jones, and Garrison Hearst.)

Embrace the darkness!

The regression shown since 22 vs 21 and before is so bizarre and difficult to understand

A conspiracy theorist might offer he was juicing until he got the bag and then quit.

I don’t think I would go that far, but it’s not hard to imagine getting the big payday somehow affected his game.

Not being dramatic and I am not a fan of K1 but if we straight cut him, I am taking a break from this team.

It would be even funnier if the Fins found a way to unload Tua in a trade and Monti couldn’t make it work.

The regression started immediately after the Green Bay game. He was on the decline somehow before he got the bag.

Its like if Steph Curry lost his ability to hit 3 pointers and sought no other coach to help fix the problem.

The truth is Kyler, at least the way it seemed, was one of the top 5 deep ball passers in the NFL his first 3 years. His game relied on it. Made up for the other prototypical NFL throws he wouldn't attempt.

Rumors are heating up.
I wonder who will take the prize.

Cards underground podcast addressed this in the B-block this week. Openly talked about the potential for releasing him outright. “The Broncos showed that if you want to get rid of a player you can do it financially.”

We traded Rosen for a 2nd round pick (and he was a complete bust), so we should be able to get at least a 4th for Kyler. Or maybe a 5th or 6th?
