Cards have done a good job of improving the roster in the first day of free agency with the exception of missing out on improving the QB position, but boy what a miss. Going into the season with Jacoby Brissett as our starter in the NFC West is hopeless. There weren't good options available, but at least Willis gave you some hope.

I'm guessing 5-7 wins for this "improved" roster.

If it's 5-7 wins with Jacobi who were the QB options that get us 7-9 wins?

Other than the OG, I don't see roster improvements at all. I see depth signings on an already bad roster. Bourne is a 4th option, Allegeir is slow RB in the Connor mold, the Cards already had Lopez and Collier as backups, and Minshew is a 3rd choice QB that likely is out of the league in Monti doesn't call.

Why do people keep talking about 5-7 wins with Jacoby?
Because there is enough distance from last season's train wreck and optimism is picking up. After the draft it will reach a fever pitch(even with no historical basis for a successful Monti draft) and may even start seeing people predicting 8-9 wins.

That is where the Cards are as a franchise, need unbound optimism just to see a .500 record if you squint hard enough.
