Burning bridges. He could tell this story through insinuation, and not confront them directly.

These are professionals. Not the only team that celebrates plays and do not have a good record.

Sounds like a bitter and spoiled Colts reporter who cannot deal with the inevitable down turn that all teams go through.

Andrew Luck is the risk you take, and many teams take it, with relying on your QB to carry the team no matter when the state of the offensive line is.

See Aaron Rogers.

I really have no opinion on whether this is the right or wrong way to try and win in the league. A lot of teams have been pretty successful going at it with a sub-par offensive line, and a great QB, but there is a risk.

Doyel has been on the Colts beat for a while . . . I would wonder if he doesn't have some sort of insight as to whether the guys he's calling out will be back or not.

And, to add insult to injury - they played with the roof open yesterday and it froze halfway-closed.

Interesting - the NFL.com "What We Learned" article specifically praised the Colts for not giving up:
OK, time for some positives for the Colts, who were much more competitive than their 3-8 record implies. Jacoby Brissett was adequate (17-of-29 passing, 196 yards), ageless wonder Frank Gore scored a rushing touchdown (17 carries, 62 yards) and the Colts gave their fans reasons to cheer before ultimately heading home with their heads hanging after another crushing loss. It's almost painful to imagine this team with Andrew Luck under center. Credit is due to the Colts' players, though, who even at 3-7 entering Sunday haven't shown any signs of giving up.

Chuck Pagano, his staff and his team are playing their arses off---they are very competitive in every game, despite the absence of Andrew Luck and others.

maybe the team knows Luck's career is over, but they are keeping it under wraps until next off season when they draft another young QB to compete with Brissett

Anybody checked up on our friend EDP this season? I would venture a guess he'd be pretty happy so far.

Well that's bizarre. I was following through the groundhog day references, sort of, then it all just falls apart.

Crappy writer with some sort of personal vendetta it seems. Personally, I don’t care for this style of writing.

Did you watch the game in question???

He called it as he saw it..... Mostly spot-on (IMO)

Tell me you you're not an advocate for participation trophy's.... Because I'm guessing you are.

I like it. I like tell it like it is people. If Moncrief doesn't like it, play better. Plus, the guy has been around. He's not a "shock-jock" writer.

If what he said is accurate then he's telling it like it is. No soft sell, no marshmallow questions, no beating around the bush. How many times have I seen here that someone wish reporters would ask BA the hard questions yet this guy puts it in their face and he's a bad writer. He put it out there for Moncrief and it was real. How do you celebrate one play and then quit on others?

Just remember who gave out the trophies in the first place :D

As for this situation, these are professionals. This is not highschool. There are multiple teams that have losing records, and have issues on the field, whose players celebrate when they do something well on the field.

Call out the effort all you want.

Bashing guys for celebrating a play ? That happens 24/7 in the NFL. I think Moncrief's response to this reporter's complaint is right on point.
