The new era of college athletics means student-athletes have more money to spend than ever before. The Oregon Ducks have a tremendous NIL pool to lure players to their programs, and it has helped the Ducks field one of the best football rosters in the country heading into the 2026 season.
Dakorien Moore is a massive part of that roster. Moore joined the Ducks as a five-star recruit and immediately made an impact as a freshman, and he was rewarded handsomely in NIL earnings. Now, the star wideout for the Ducks is giving back to where his journey began.
Using his NIL earnings, Moore made a $10,000 donation to the Duncanville football program, where he starred in high school. The school announced the donation on Monday. Moore was a standout on the football field and on the track at Duncanville in Texas.
“Thank you to Duncanville Football alum and Track & Field standout Dakorien Moore for your generous $10,000 donation and for your continued commitment to giving back to the Duncanville community,” the school posted on X. “Your support is making a lasting impact on the next generation of Panthers. We are proud to call you one of our own!”
As a freshman, Moore signed several NIL deals, including ones with Nike and Red Bull. On3's NIL valuation for Moore is $712,000, the ninth-highest on the team. Quarterback Dante Moore has an NIL valuation of $3 million.
Moore recently made waves when The Wall Street Journal revealed he spent $80,000 on his senior prom at Duncanville High School. The expenses included $10,000 for matching post-prom outfits for Moore and his date and $12,000 for an event planner.
The money is well deserved for Moore, who is the second-highest-rated recruit in program history, per 247 Sports. He hauled in 34 catches for 497 yards and three touchdowns in his first season with the Ducks, which was marred by a late-season injury.
With Evan Stewart returning alongside Jeremiah McClellan and Iverson Hooks, Moore could be the centerpiece of the best receiving core in the country in 2026.
