Penn State will be on the field in 93 days against Marshall.
No. 93 on this year’s roster is redshirt junior defensive end Bobby Mears.
The Malvern Prep grad has not appeared in any games during his time in Happy Valley, though he did earn academic all-conference honors back in 2024.
In high school, Mears was a three-time letter winner, a captain during his senior year, and earned All-Eastern All-State honors in his final season. Oh, by the way, much like Evan Royster, he also played lacrosse in high school.
Mears is majoring in finance and will look to earn some snaps in a reserve role this season for the Lions.
That season kicks off in 93 days for Penn State against Marshall.
