Texas A&M's future offensive line looks to be in elite shape if the Aggies' No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class tells us anything, as third-year O-line coach Adam Cushing has already landed commitments from five-stars Mark Matthews and Kennedy Brown, combined with four-star tackles DeMarrion Johnson and Kaeden Scott.
While four offensive line commits seem like enough, loading up in the trenches is never a bad idea, and after hosting what many consider the final piece to the Aggies' offensive line puzzle, five-star OL Albert Simien has been a favorite to land in College Station for quite some time, and despite nearly every blue-blood program's heavy pursuit of the versatile big man, Texas A&M reportedly remains the favorite.
After DeMarrion Johnson shut down his recruitment, many, myself included, believe Kaeden Scott, Mark Matthews, and Kennedy Brown will all do the same soon after their official visits this month. Winning in the trenches is crucial to future success, and given the newly formed offensive line that will feature four new starters this fall, Elko and Cushing are looking to develop each of the players mentioned into a full-time starter by their first or second season.
Before Albert Simien takes his final official visit with Notre Dame this weekend, Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman stated that, while the Fighting Irish should be considered fierce competitors to land the blue-chip blocker, the veteran analyst is still "bullish" on where the Aggies sit before Simien makes his final decision.
According to Rivals, Albert Simien is currently positioned as the 19th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the second-ranked IOL, and the third-ranked prospect in Louisiana.

"From speaking to sources close to this recruitment, I am still bullish about where Texas A&M stands with Simien down the stretch run here."
