Man oh man.......am I ever happy that Cincy took him and have now sealed the deal......and here is why....because the Cards can't be tempted if he fell to us at #6.
Mark my words....Carson Palmer will be SLIGHTLY better than Ryan Leaf.... but much worse than Vinny Testeverde. He will be SLIGHTLY better than David Carr and Tim Couch but much, much worse than Peyton Manning. He will become an after thought to Bryan Leftwich in this years draft. He won't be remembered in the same vain as David Klinger but will be remembered as the Akili Smith of the 2003 draft.
What we have here (remember the movie Cool Hand Luke), is a failure to communicate.....this guy LITERALLY has ONLY six games of success in argueably one of the weaker "big" divisions in college.
The days of drafting a QB #1 will be forgotten after this guy fails. It's far too expensive and in the vernacular of business.....the ROI just ain't there. Green Bay figured this out long ago. As for Leftwich.....we'll see what happenson Saturday.
