On a Positive Note

I’d like to start a thread on the positive side of things…

We are 2-1, not 1-2 or 0-3.
While our 2 wins were against inferior opponents, the Panthers did show up and embarrass the Falcons 30-0.
Our loss to SF (now ranked #8) by 1 point could have easily (and should have) been a victory and we would be one of 6 teams undefeated.
You might say that SF was depleted by injury but let’s remember how many injuries we had also.

We still have the best TE in the league.

MHJ will play better.

The defense is much improved over last year,
4th in rushing yds allowed
5th in points allowed
4th in red zone defense
3rd in 3rd down defense

Things will get better with the return of PJJ, Will Hernandez, Will Johnson, Walter Nolen and eventually/hopefully Garrett Williams and LJ Collier.

With a win on Thursday night and another at home against a struggling Titans team we will be 4-1!

Could this be the game with the Connor to Benson transition and possibly adjusting the offensive game plan?

The guys on NFL FFL show predict Benson will have a break out game... receiving out of the backfield. I think it would be fun to see what he can do catching the ball in open space.

They've protected leads at the very end of both of our wins (despite some bad officiating breaks against CAR).

Could not quite get it done on the road against SF of course, but yes, I think in most games they will.

With so many DBs out, we might struggle against a top QB however.

Yeah I’m just sick of it, it’s year 3 of the rebuild. They have more talent and look worse than when they started (which was arguably the worst roster in the NFL)

The regression is just unacceptable. A competent coaching staff wouldn’t allow it…Say Sean McVay or Matt LaFleur. It wouldn’t happen, period.
