The Brooklyn Nets (0-0) came away from the California Classic last weekend with a 2-1 record thanks to players like Egor Demin and Mikel Brown Jr. stepping up during their time on the floor. Brooklyn now turns the page to the Las Vegas Summer League where they will begin their slate with a matchup against the New York Knicks (0-0) on Friday and if interested in watching the game, you've come to the right place.

The Nets have not played in Las Vegas yet this year, but fans are familiar with how the team has been playing to this point, especially for players like Demin and Brown. Demin is enjoying a strong start to his second NBA season as it looks like his work in the offseason has been paying off while Brown is hoping to show why Brooklyn selected him with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

The Knicks will be playing their first game of the summer league circuit in this matchup and while the roster is filled with veterans, New York is hoping to see leaps from players like Pacome Dadiet and Mohamed Diowara. For Brooklyn, it will be interesting to see how much Demin and Brown play over the course of the summer league, but for now, they will be looking to build on what they did in Sacramento.

Here's what you need to know to get ready for the Nets' summer league matchup against the Knicks on Friday:

How To Watch

  • Date: Friday, Jul. 10
  • Time: 6:00 PM ET
  • Location: Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV
  • Channel: Prime Video, Gotham Sports App

Things To Note

  • Demin played in two of the three games that the Nets played during the California Classic and over those two contests, he averaged an impressive 23.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 55.6% from the field and 26.7% from behind the three-point line. Demin has also been attacking the rim more this summer so it seems like the added strength is paying off for him.
  • Brown played in just one game during the Classic and he finished that lone contest with 10 points and four assists while showing some of the talent that made him one of the more interesting players in the 2026 class. Nets summer league coach Dutch Gaitley said that the plan is for Brown to play more as long as his body is able to handle more minutes than he played in Sacramento.
  • With Demin and Brown having already shown what they can do, most Nets fans, along with the rest of the team, will likely be focused on how Drake Powell and Ben Saraf look against more competition. Saraf held his own in the Classic, but Powell struggled mightily with his offense so the hope is that he can find his rhythm while in Las Vegas.
