The New York Jets have added another offensive weapon.
The Jets traded back into the first round and selected Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. with the No. 30 overall pick on Thursday night.
Here's our scouting report on Cooper and how he fits on the Jets offense:
Cooper was one of the focal points during the Indiana Hoosiers national championship season. He led the team in catches (69), receiving yards (937) and targets (91) last year. He nearly doubled his touchdowns from 2024 to 2025, finding the end zone 13 times on the receiving end of passes from quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the No. 1 overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders in this year's draft.
Cooper now slides opposite of wide receiver Garrett Wilson as the No. 2 option in the receiver room.
He'll have an immediate impact in the Jets offense.
This is a slam dunk move by the Jets, who's offense will look drastically different with the addition of both Cooper Jr. and Sadiq in the first round on Thursday.
