Game 2 between Tennessee (25-14, 7-10 SEC) and No. 23 Ole Miss (29-11, 10-7 SEC) was contested Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Rebels won the three-game series with a, 8-1, win.

Cade Townsend (4-1) started for Ole Miss and pitched six innings. He recorded seven strikeouts and 88 pitches (52 strikes) against 22 batters. Townsend allowed one hit, two walks, zero runs and hit one batter.
Tegan Kuhns started for the Vols and pitched 5.2 innings, totaling 10 strikeouts and 96 pitches (67 strikes). He allowed five hits, one walk and zero runs.
Tennessee’s offense totaled two hits in Game 2, including a ninth-inning solo home run from Trent Grindlinger.
Tristan Bissetta hit a grand slam off Cam Appenzeller (5-1) and Judd Utermark hit a solo home run off Brady Frederick in the ninth inning for Ole Miss.
Stone Lawless served as Tennessee's catcher in the ninth inning.
Walker Hooks recorded his fourth save of the season for the Rebels.
Ole Miss won Game 1 on Friday, 7-4. A series finale will take place Sunday between the Vols and Rebels. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. EDT at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
