Ole Miss football is featured prominently on the cover of the standard edition of the new EA Sports College Football 27 video game, per a report.
Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy is one of three players on the main cover, per an On3 report on June 1, along with Oregon quarterback Dante Moore and Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney.
The video game is returning for a third year this summer since its hiatus. Its release is set for mid-July.
Lacy is coming off a spectacular season at Ole Miss. He rushed for 1,567 yards and a program-record 24 touchdowns. He is going into his junior season, and his second at Ole Miss since transferring in from Missouri.
Lacy is the first Ole Miss player to be featured on the main cover. Former coach Lane Kiffin was featured on the deluxe edition cover of the game that released last year.
In details shared in his eligibility lawsuit against the NCAA, Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was revealed to be a finalist to make the cover of the video game.
Chambliss sought damages from the NCAA in March, saying the NCAA's denial of his eligibility cost him a spot on the cover.
"EA Sports withdrew from negotiations with Trinidad, explaining in a text message that EA Sports’ leadership 'just can’t stomach the risk' that Trinidad may be unable to play college football during the 2026-2027 football season," the lawsuit said.
Chambliss is set to return to Ole Miss after he was awarded a preliminary injunction against the NCAA. The Mississippi State Supreme Court denied the NCAA's request for an appeal of the decision.
