OXFORD — Ole Miss football has added its first four-star recruit in the 2028 class in defensive lineman Antavion Allen.

Allen announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Aug. 11 with a post on X. He is a four-star recruit in the Class of 2028 rankings, per the 247Sports composite.

Allen is a 6-foot-4, 289-pound interior defensive lineman from Hattiesburg High School. He is the No. 90 player nationally in the class and the No. 9 defensive lineman. He is the No. 2 player in Mississippi in the 2028 class behind four-star running back Zaiden Jernigan (Louisville).


He chose coach Pete Golding and Ole Miss over offers from LSU, Texas, Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and others.

Ole Miss has two players committed in its 2028 class. Three-star wide receiver Latedrick Mallard from McComb is the other player in the class.

In 13 games as a sophomore, Allen had 66 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, and one forced fumble as a sophomore according to 247Sports.
