Texas A&M baseball added an impressive sophomore transfer from a Southeastern Conference foe on Wednesday evening.

According to TexAgs managing editor Richard Zane, Oklahoma right fielder Alec Blair is transferring to the Aggies. In his true freshman season with the Sooners in 2026, Blair hit .247, including four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 18 RBI. He entered the transfer portal on June 24, having four years of eligibility remaining due to the NCAA's new "five-for-five" age-based ruling.

The 6-foot-6 lefty from California started in 24 games and made 30 total appearances during Oklahoma's run to the national championship.

Blair signed with the Sooners as a two-sport athlete with plans to compete on the basketball court and baseball diamond as a freshman. He played in just one game for Oklahoma basketball before opting to focus solely on competing for Skip Johnson's club. The former No. 52 overall player in the 2025 MLB First-Year Player Draft went undrafted due to his dual commitment to the Sooners, while also already being on campus in Norman.

He will now compete for Michael Earley's Aggies and has the opportunity to be one of Texas A&M's premier outfielders in 2027. His addition to the roster marks the tenth transfer commitment of the offseason and provides depth to the outfield, alongside a returning Jorian Wilson and Terrence Kiel II. His experience competing in the SEC and being part of Oklahoma's national championship in 2026 makes him a massive get for Earley, who continues to add impressive portal additions in the current window.
