OKC teammate on Jared McCain: 'I've never seen someone so happy'

After falling to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 by way of a blowout, head coach Mark Daigneault and the Oklahoma City Thunder decided to switch things up for Game 5. He did so by adding former Duke guard Jared McCain to the starting lineup, replacing Cason Wallace.

The nod marked McCain's first playoff start throughout his first playoff run, and the former Blue Devil didn't disappoint. Despite a slow first half (two points), McCain turned it on after the intermission, finishing the night with 20 points, three 3-pointers made and three rebounds. McCain's sharpshooting was vital to the Thunder getting back on track, as Oklahoma City made just six 3-pointers total in Game 4.

Following the win, Thunder big man Isaiah Hartenstein spoke about McCain's constant positive attitude. "I think he's a special human being. No one will change the way he is. I've never seen someone so happy every day."

With the New York Knicks having punched their ticket to the NBA Finals, Oklahoma City will try to join them as they look to close out the series up 3-2 on the road Thursday.
