And what about the pathetic collapse the prior season in 2020… you know when we we 6-3 and he proceeded to somehow lose to the Cam Newton Patriots to start a embarassing 2-5 tailspin that STILL had us in position to clinch a playoff spot at 8-6, at home, when he still had D-Hop and a great running game and all he had to do was beat the 3-13 injury ravaged Niners AT HOME playing their 3rd string QB and KYLER was FREAKING AWFUL, leading us to a putrid 9 points and led us to a humiliating home loss… again to a 3-13 JV TEAM NINERS SQUAD.

Or how about the next week when, yet again, he had a chance to win and get in but he stunk again against the Rams backup QB with a chance to clinch a playoff spot.

Whats your excuse for the pathetic collapse of that season where Hop and the entire offense was healthy and he flat out stunk down the stretch?

Dude, I'll rephrase out of respect for you and your posts, Mr. Dude, yes, they figured-out Kingsbury's offense due to the limitations of Kyler's ability to see over the middle. Why do you think we threw all those WR's screens? Murray couldn't throw a slant to save his life because the line blocked his view. Murray is a quick/fast athlete but he was just unfortunate to not grow another two inches. You're a cards fan and Murray is no longer a player for the team. Time to jump on the Love Boat..........sorry, I had to, ironically that show just started on our tv...LOL

MHJ is going in the 6th round and Addison is going 9th/10th. I’d much rather roll with Addison two rounds later.

What people are missing is that the Cards have been force-feeding Marv targets to get those mid-level results. If you have three healthy targets plus you expect Love to get 60-70 targets, Marv will have to be much much more efficient to get those 800/8 that you might be expecting.

I think Addison is +/-8% of whatever Marvin gets.


Marvin didn’t earn many doubles after his first few appearances when teams realized he was Not It. Teams plays a ton of zone against us and we couldn’t really do anything about it.

Totally agree with this post. MHJ was never force fed the ball. When guys like Nabers were seeing 15+ targets, MHJ was lucky to see 5 or 6. I was yelling at my tv for them to make more of an effort to get him double digit targets regardless of the outcome.

My man, 10+ targets a game is an insane definition of high-volume targeting. Only 2 players had 170+ targets last season.

Marv has had 189 targets in 29 pro games. If you screen out the last two games from last season, he’s averaging almost 7 targets per game. Over 17 games that’s more than 116 targets.

That would be top 20 last year at the same time McBride was getting 169 targets.

He was not being ignored by Petzing.

Revisionist history. We were in so many "Win and you're in" games that year and we never got it done. Totally backed into the playoffs. Kyler NEVER won a division or playoff clinching game. Never.

We clinched that playoff berth in Week 16 after losing to the Colts, when the Rams beat the Vikings. It was entirely reliant on other teams' results—no direct clinch via their own win.

So, no one led us to the playoffs, unless you want to credit the Rams who then stomped us right out of the playoffs.

Won a bunch of games early then nearly choked away the playoffs; Literally Backed into the playoffs that season due to other teams play and choked once on the biggest stage of his career. Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer and even Jake Plummer AND Drew Stanton LED our team to the playoffs. Not Kyler.

If we are gonna give Kyler credit why not Max Hall? At least Max looked as ready as he could.....

The Cardinals not making the playoffs in 2020 had far more to do with a below average roster and coaching staff than it had to do with Kyler Murray. Without Murray, that 2020 team would have won 2-3 games at best. And that pretty much sums up Kyler’s entire stay in AZ. Crap OL, crap OC, crap D, and a whole bunch of injuries to whatever good players we may have had.
