This is a red flag that you may need some professional help. You capitalized Kyler but you did not capitalize "love"...love is a feeling...Love is the cardinal's rookie running back.
I'm not trying to be an ass but every couple of days you come on this forum to bash the toxic fans and media. Kyler Murray is a Minnesota Viking player right now. Your admiration should be touted on the Vikings forum to show your support. Not here, bashing cardinal fans and the orginization....well, maybe the orginization....
Dude I’m allowed , I rooted for our punter tom tupa at qb in the heat of sun devil stadium, you and others have never explained what Kyler did that was so bad that we cut him and the most money cards ever paid a player ? So we could go back to the revolving door of purgatory without a true plan at qb. I knew KM was small and would get hurt, he is still dynamic with a strong arm, fired coach - new coached should have kicked his tires and none of these guys would beat him on the field. And if he is so horrible we would be in the running for a qb next year. Too make the decision to pay him that much and then cut him is so stupid - who ever has done that without a behavior reason? Name a comparison? For that amount of crazy money gifted to another team - just one!

I regress cards ain’t the stupidest ever - but pretty darn gosh stupid
Short answer: Tua Tagovailoa, not Kyler Murray.

The Dolphins are paying the biggest "dead money" hit in NFL history to cut a player.

The all-time record for dead money on a cut player

Tua Tagovailoa - Miami Dolphins: $99.2 million
Dolphins cut him in 2026 after a 4-year, $212.1M extension. $54M was still guaranteed for 2026. That $99.2M is the largest single-player dead cap charge ever.

Russell Wilson - Denver Broncos: $85 million
Denver cut him after signing him to a $245M extension in 2022. He never played a snap under that extension.

Kyler Murray - Arizona Cardinals: $54M to $57.8M
Arizona did a post-June 1 release. That means:
- 2026 dead cap: $46.57M to $46.6M
- 2027 dead cap: $7.2M
- Total: ∼$53.8M to $54.7M

If they had done a pre-June 1 cut it would have been ∼$54M to $57.7M all in 2026. 3003d03f8717cd308fc880ee80302ab3

How Kyler compares
| **Player** | **Team** | **Dead Money to Cut** | **Year** |
| **Tua Tagovailoa** | Dolphins | $99.2M | 2026 |
| **Russell Wilson** | Broncos | $85M | 2024 |
| **Kyler Murray** | Cardinals | $54.7M total | 2026/2027 |
30038030

Kyler’s hit is massive — it’s the 3rd biggest ever and accounts for 65%+ of Arizona’s total $73.3M dead money in 2026. It’s also the biggest single-season cap charge Arizona has ever taken. 300385cd8030

But Tua’s is almost double. $99.2M vs $54.7M.

Why are these numbers so crazy now?
NFL cap went to $301.2M in 2026 and QB contracts got huge. Teams give massive guarantees, then when they cut guys all that prorated bonus/guaranteed money "accelerates" onto the cap. 3a2080ee

Tua’s case: $212.1M extension in 2024. Murray’s case: $230.5M contract signed in 2022 with $125.1M on books through 2028. 8717

Bottom line: Tua cost Miami $99.2M to go away. Kyler will cost Arizona ∼$54.7M total. Both are top-3 all time, but Tua is the record. d03f

Want me to break down how Arizona is spreading Kyler’s hit vs if they had cut him pre-June 1?
