Official: Germany set to release its away kit on March 20th

It’s almost the end of the road for Adidas as Germany’s trusted kit suppliers, being in a deal with Die Mannschaft since 1954. The nation is switching to Nike next year so any kit that Adidas releases this year will probably be one of its last. In fact, it has announced that Germany’s new home kit will be released on March 20. Here’s what it looks like:

I mean…it’s not bad? One of the first things I thought of was Bayern Munich’s eyesore for an away kit in 2018/19 (you know what I’m talking about). Looking at it again it kind of looks like an alternate Argentina kit.

It’s not bad, but nowhere near what the leaked kit was: the black one with German flag accents on the collar and sleeves. That would’ve been a banging kit to sign off 72 years of partnership. Now if only Adidas would put more effort into Bayern’s home kits.
