Okay.. as some of you may have seen in an earlier thread I had this idea to give out gameballs; one on O, one on D, and one wildcard (used on O, D, ST, or coach). Also, we can have a poll where we pick player of the week if I can figure out how to do a poll. We also give out a who needs to step it up "award" along with a special for preseason a 2nd or 3rd stringer game ball.

I'll start things off (these can include explanations if you'd like):

O Ball: Fitz
D Ball: Russel Davis
Wildcard: Okeafor
Step it Up: BJ, step it up son no two drops next game
Backup Ball: Rolle

I vote Warner. I cannot believe how good he looks right now. He has a pocket presence I've never seen in AZ. I though he looked great in Prescott and now he's lighting it up on the field. WARNER, WARNER, WARNER!!!!

Our whole defense deserves a game ball, and Rolle needs to start. He was physical as hell.

Calvin Pace's sack at the end of the game took the Felons out of field goal range, and was instrumental in preserving the win. He should at least get mentioned as a candidate for the award.

Give him your backup game ball.

Pace had a monster game. Reminds me of his first preseason as a rookie. He was really beating the O-Line off the ball. To bad he can't play against 2nd stringers when it really counts. I'd like to see what he can do against the first stringers but I doubt he'll get a chace this preseason.

I picked Warner.

Did anyone see the game on 213 they had the Dallas media covering it. At the end there Player of the Game, none other then Julies Jones. What a joke.

Add in another sack for a total of 2 and 2 other tackles behind the LOS and you have the makings of a gameball winner. Lets just hope its not the same old same old. Hopefully hes turned a corner. We have seen him do this in pre-season before.

Heard the post game interview with Pace

He said it was hard in the past, when they had to play just basic defense. He said you couldn't compete in the NFL with just lining up and doing the same thing.

Now they get to do different things, try new attacks. Keep the offense guessing. He said it was easier to make something happen.

The Dallas media guys laughed about the Julius Jones selection and mentioned that it was made before the game was played. The also said they thought the only Dallas player that deserved a game ball was their punter.

I watched the game live last night and still haven't stopped grinning.

Go Cards.

i heard that interview too - Pace came off as thoughtful and quite the adult.
Maybe he's thinking about his next contract...

Amazing how much better he looked. We have had amateurs at QB for several years.

And finally our backups are playing 2nd string instead of starting. Fun to watch real talent after 8 years of "smaller, weaker, slower".

I haven't seen the game yet, but by what I've read shouldn't Dockett have made your poll, too?

I thought everyone on the D-Line outperformed Dockett. BTW I was so happy at the bakside pursuit given by Rus Davis, Chike, and Pace; those guys are really in top shape.
