After Hill Jr went, there was no one I was desperately hoping we'd take. I'm not all that high on Beck, but not pissed that we passed on anyone else in particular.

I would have rather waited until next year for the Qb. This year is going to be a bust again. They should have just drafted that Pregnon kid everyone is talking about. Having a stout interior OL would be nice

I went to the Cards Bengals game in Cincinnati .....me and some other dude were like the only Cards fans in a sea of Bengal orange and black. They all felt sorry that I was a Cards fan. Most depressing game ever. Shake it up!

We went like 1-13 or some crap..shake it up man!
I feel like we're destined for that next year at this point anyway.. so if you'd rather see what a young guy can give you going 1-13 vs what a vet can give you Going 1-13, so be it

Steelers pick Drew Allar

Pre-Draft Analysis

Allar peaked in 2024, leading Penn State to a 13-3 record and appearance in the CFP semifinals. He is a big pocket passer with the anticipation, release and arm strength to throw into tight windows over the middle. Allar drives the ball on seam routes and hole shots on the outside. He is an experienced starter who can get through his progressions. Allar is not a big-play threat that teams will be keen on executing designed quarterback runs with, but he scrambles for first downs and avoids negative plays with his legs. He was plagued by poor to average performances against top teams, holding a 1-7 record against AP top-10 opponents in college. In these marquee matchups, Allar had low completion percentages (around 48% to 50%), as well as key turnovers in losses against top-six opponents. He is an intriguing prospect because he is so physically gifted as a passer, but inconsistent big-game performance and injury are areas of concern. Allar had season-ending surgery on a broken left ankle in November. -- Scouts Inc.

AJ Haulcy is one of my favorite players in this draft so wish Cardinals could’ve had a chance to get him.

Million things on Beck but here's the one for me. ALl the talk for the last X years was how Kyler wasn't a leader and was aloof off the field, and what's the #1 criticism on Beck? He's a loner, teammates didn't like him, aloof off the field. Very odd personality.

Why does that matter? BEcause in the NFL if you're a QB and your teammates don't like you they're not going to trust you, they won't believe in you and they won't fight as hard to keep you off your butt.

ESPN's analysis seriously says the Cards may just go with Beck as the starter and not deal with Brissett's money issue, which is basically telling your entire team we are tanking. You had all this good will from fans excited about Love and then you take the most hated player in the draft

Falcons get my guy Branch. Interesting pick for them given he just got arrested in Georgia where he played his last college games.

Of course he was. Nobody else wanted him.
Stop it!

You don’t find a QB by not rolling the dice for one, preferably the earlier the better your chances. He was going in round 3-4 regardless of what many want to believe

If he wins more games than he loses & works hard that all changes! We got to remember most of these guys are young men & most grow as people with age & maturity. If the reports are indeed true let’s hope it’s sooner than later & happens with responsibilities of a career & a franchise
