A nice steady rain here in the Vortex, two nights in a row.
I'll take it.

People are slacking...

Huge storm last night - 1" rain for us, thunder, lightening.

Indian Bend Wash was a river last night/this morning.

Great rain the last few days.
Unfortunately I slept right through the storm late last night. :bang:

Let's see.. heavy rain, thunder, lightning, four inches of water lapping at the front door at 2:15 am, flooded back yard and patio, (neighbor has a pump to empty out her back yard), debris and a waterfall flowing down the front yard to the street, cat hid in the closet, and I spent an hour cleaning the muck off stuff outside.

The good news is the roof doesn't leak, the windows don't leak and, in an incredible piece of timing, I'd spent part of the day yesterday cleaning out the drainage holes in the back wall (digging and moving rocks) because I listened to the voice in my head that said, "you better do this". So that makes me happy but I feel for the people with damage. The power of these storms still amazes me.

Very nice, steady and in some cases pouring downpour the entire ride into the office this morning! 27 miles of driving with the wipers on... now that doesn't happen every day here in the Valley!!
