Norwegian ski jumper Anna Odine Strøm swooped to an Olympic double on Sunday after adding large hill gold to normal hill glory as Slovenian favourite Nika Prevc could only place third.

Prevc had helped Slovenia to mixed team gold on Tuesday and her brother Domen claimed a men's large hill victory on Saturday.

But, much like the normal hill competition at the start of the Games when she was second to Odine Strøm, World Cup leader Nika was not her dominant self.

In fact, the twice World Champion was even weaker, jumping just 128.0 metres first up and then 127.5m, for an overall score of 271.5.

Odine Strøm in contrast soared to 132m with the penultimate jump to go with her earlier 130.5m for 284.8.

"It is incredible. It is hard to believe still," said the Norwegian, who also took mixed team silver in a memorable personal Games after injury problems had dogged her last year.

She is now the most decorated Olympic women's ski jumper.

"I’ve been working so hard for this, as we all have, and I feel so incredibly lucky I get to experience this."

Compatriot Eirin Maria Kvandal was leading after the first round but her landing with the very last jump was not perfect and she took silver on 282.7.

The female ski jumping - which featured a large hill event for the first time as women jumpers continue their fight for total equality - is now wrapped up at the 2026 Games. Only a men's super team event is still to come on Monday.

Nika Prevc leaves with a medal of each colour and at only 20 will surely be back at the 2030 Winter Games in the French Alps.

For now she must close out the near formality of a third straight overall World Cup title in the coming weeks.

"I need to take pride in this medal, because my last jump shows that I am able to fight through all the stress and everything that’s happening to me," she said.

"These experiences and results will help me gain more confidence for the next competitions."

Japan's Sara Takanashi, the four-time overall World Cup champion who has flattered to deceive in individual major championships, finished 16th after possibly her last Olympic jump.
