i I agree with you on most things it seems. But no way on this. The guy regardless of the videos and suspensions is a complete ME player and is a true diva... He has drama each and every year of some kind. I want him nowhere near this organization. That’s not even mentioning he isn’t the most durable guy on the field either.

Yeah the instability emotionally and the fact that he's injury prone would be a no for me unless we can get a deal for him.

No thx. IMO WRs are a dime a dozen I’d never pay much for them.

Recalling the days when David Boston and skillet hands Johnson were our best receivers makes me disagree with you. Have you seen our current roster depth at WR? The garage is empty except for an old Maserati (Fitz), so I'm all for taking Odell for a test drive.

Didn't say he wanted to be the highest paid player in the NFL recently?

Not WR..... PLAYER.

I know he's put up decent stats when not injured, but cripes.... I think the guy is still living off his one-handed highlight reel catch.

As long as you are using your car and not one belonging to the Cards.

Do you think that SW would tolerate for a second the antics that Odell brings???

Well, if the powers that be are convinced he won't fit the team dynamic then fine, that's a solid reason to pass (no pun intended). But the concept that "receivers are a dime a dozen so don't spend money on them" is a losing strategy IMO.

Either that or they are following the Daniel Snyder recipe for failure. Wonder what they are packaging.

How long ago was it that the Rams were terrible? Like a year or something? Wow.

What exactly does a fractured ankle have to do with durability? He'd missed 5 games in his NFL career before then and he's never played a full season and not had double digit TD's.

The off field stuff yes, big concern, some of the on field behavior yes, big concern, but unless his ankle hasn't healed I see no reason to believe he's a health risk

After 3 seasons he'd missed 5 games, after 3 seasons Fitz had missed 3 games. Season 4 obviously went very badly for OBJ but there's not any reason I see to think he's about to fall off a cliff health wise he's 25.

The Giants are denying he's on the block anyways. But as to why he'd be good for us, well he's from LSU so there's the PP21 angle, plus there's the who could possibly be a better mentor for such a talented young WR than playing a year with Larry Fitzgerald?

But he's too expensive and the Giants say he's not on the trade market

Nope.

I say the following, with the precursor that I have enjoyed every moment Larry Fitzgerald has been on this team, even that one year when he had fumble-itis.

But, it will be nice to get out from under a massive wide receiver contract once he is gone, especially for a team built on defense and the running game.
+1

I really like Fitz, but it's getting time to move on from his large contract

That was because our QB play was so bad. If you have a good QB all of a sudden your receivers play better.

I wouldn’t have him on my team for any reason simply because he’s an ass & nothing about his team.

David Boston was a Pro Bowler with us and Bryant Johnson was never more than our #3...
