I think you're mis-remembering although someone else here has spun it that direction too and maybe that's what you're referring to. Booker said something like he needed help, which he does, and that he was getting back into shape because he wasn't having to do it all himself but he's also said that he liked the idea of becoming a Harden type player when asked about the comparison. And I have no intention of finding that comment until someone else can show me a statement from Booker that outright states he doesn't want to spend any time at the point position.

I saw him interviewed on ABC 15 after game 1 of the finals and he said specifically that he didn't care what position he played so long as we were in a position to win. Like you, I've never heard anything close to "I don't want to play PG".

They went very fast through the last five picks or so but I felt like I was getting a free version of Draft Express.
They did provide some insight on their selections.
They were very high on the Suns selecting Coby White in their mock.
We've already seen the results...twice...of the ball being primarily in Booker's hands. It was pretty darn ugly, both for the Suns and for Booker. Maybe, just maybe, the Suns should try something different...

John Gambadoro kicked off Wednesday’s edition of The Burns & Gambo Show relaying the latest information he’s heard, and it’s another blow to the side who wants to make an aggressive push for a win-now option. Dinwiddie would have checked off plenty of attributes for the Suns in the backcourt alongside Devin Booker, but the price reportedly seems too rich from their point of view.

Yeah, I have to agree.
My guess is they take White and sign one of the lower tier FA PGs. The best case scenario with this is that they also move Warren and sign a decent FA PF (Randle, Mirotic). Not a dynamic solution, but not entirely crappy.
Worst case scenario is they sign one of the bargain basement PGs and waste the sixth pick on Culver/Hunter/Clarke. Talk about not moving the needle at all.
My fear is they sign McConnell, waste the sixth pick on Culver and sign a bargain basement PF, while letting Oubre and Holmes go. In my opinion, that actually moves the needle backwards.

That IS probably the worst. Unless they decide to blow it up and trade Booker, who they have on a decent salary for a star.

I've never expected anything else, have you? Zion was the only reasonable quick fix for us given our cap space and lack of tradeable assets (that we're willing to move). Assuming we don't churn the roster as we have each of the past few years, I still expect significant improvement just from growth and continuity although I don't know what to expect from our new coach just yet.

No, I think there's a big difference. Both teams were horrible but the Suns talent was simply too young to carry their weight, that wasn't really the problem with the Cards. IOW, time will cure many of our ills, that may not be the case with the Cardinals.

a passive approach.
How many ills have time cured over the past decade of failure and embarrassment?
The last few posts have made it clear that these are still Sarver's Suns and all that
matters is how many millions of their trillions he can pocket.
When we look at next season's roster, ask yourself . . . would every other leadership
group in the NBA have finished the off-season with the same results?
Unless, of course, Sarver and Jones come up with proactive results. Time can't cure,
but time will tell. If a year from now, we start another 10-year span of failure.

Cards tried to blow up as much of the offense as they could. OL is still potentially a burden. They were obstinante about playing the 4-3, when all their defensive players were 3-4 guys. This year they went back to the 3-4, and brought in Suggs to go with Chandler. The offense is entirely new. They should win more than 3 games. LOL.
The Suns, we blew it up front office and then coaching staff. I look at Toronto and even Golden State and we lack bigs and the quantity of quality depth those squads have to compete. Especially compared to Toronto. We are still a ways talent wise. If we keep what we had and just add a vet PG, maybe Hunter and another big in the draft, that alone will probably get us to 30 wins. Which is damn better than 19. Even if we got a vet PG and Randle, that just gets us a starting 5, which is a lot compared to last year, but it is still no where close to Toronto or GS. James Jones has work to do still.

But isn't it always an underwhelming offseason? The only time we got excited is when Barkley and Nash joined, then when Amare and Ayton were drafted. Even the Nash and Amare events weren't that awesome the moment they happened. I'm not expecting much from a #6 pick, I mean we got a #1 pick that didn't move our needle much. Aside from a big name signing, I'm not expecting much.
