EDITOR'S NOTE: The following letter was sent on behalf of the Oak Ridge High School Football Boosters to the citizens of Oak Ridge.
Dear Oak Ridge resident:
On behalf of the coaching staff, players, and administration at ORHS, we are thrilled to invite you to join us for some exciting evenings of football and community spirit this upcoming football season. We are also asking you to get involved – it makes a difference! Your involvement has propelled us to win eight State Championships and one National Championship!
Kickoff for all home scheduled games is at 7 p.m. at Jack Armstrong Stadium/Blankenship Field, located at 213 Broadway Ave.
At Oak Ridge High School, our football program is more than just a game; it is a vital part of our local heritage. Friday nights under the lights bring together students, families, alumni, local government, churches and business owners. This season, our student-athletes have worked incredibly hard to represent our community with pride, discipline, and sportsmanship.
To make this season even more special, local businesses and alumni will be hosting and sponsoring pre-game community tailgates from 4:30 p.m. until kickoff that includes live band performances, food and beverages. The Wildcat tailgate pavilion is located behind the home side press box at 100 Kentucky Ave.
We would be honored to have your presence in the stands to cheer on our team and experience the incredible energy of Wildcat Football. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the gate or in advance at ORHS. In addition, if you would like to purchase reserved seating, those tickets can be purchased at ORHS athletic department beginning Aug. 9 to the public. Tickets for reserved seating is $12 (limited tickets available).
