Denver Nuggets two-way rookie Trey Alexander was voted to the 2024-25 All-NBA G League third team for his play with the Grand Rapids Gold, the league announced on Thursday.
Alexander, also named the G League Rookie of the Year, averaged 25.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.7 steals in 30 games on 39.5% shooting from 3-point range. He ranked second in scoring among players with at least 15 appearances and fifth in field goals per game (9.1).
The undrafted standout from Creighton was joined on the third team by Miami Heat guard Josh Christopher, Sacramento Kings forward Isaac Jones and Westchester Knicks players Chuma Okeke and TJ Warren. He was also named to the G League All-Rookie team.
Alexander registered eight 30-point games this season with the Gold, including a career-high 38 points, five rebounds and three assists on Jan. 18. He was one of 10 players with at least eight 30-point games during the regular season.
The 21-year-old spent most of the season in the G League after logging 24 appearances with the Nuggets. He played almost exclusively in mop-up duty, totaling 32 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in 117 minutes and has totaled more than 10 minutes in a game only three times.
Alexander previously earned praise from former Nuggets coach Michael Malone for his play in the G League. The team has liked how he was able to play through mistakes and perform at a high level after scoring at least 14 points in every game this season.
