After a one hour and 44 minute rain delay, the Bees struck first in the bottom of the first inning. Tim Henning (Binghamton) led off with a single and stole second. Henning moved to third on a ground out from Tyler Garbooshian (Rutgers) and scored on a sacrifice fly from Michael Olender (Lehigh).
Norwich tied it in the top of the fifth. CJ Nolan (Sacred Heart) led off with a single and stole second. With two outs, Nolan stole third and scored on a wild pitch.

Amato Civitello (UConn) and Grady Schopps (Salve Regina) were then hit by pitches on consecutive at bats, allowing Slauson and Rich to score.
Norwich tried to rally in the top of the ninth. Jackson Powers (Saint Anselm) led off with a bunt single and moved to second on an ensuing throwing error. J.P. Kuczik (Maryland) reached on an infield error. After a pop out, Matt Park (Quinnipiac) grounded into a fielder’s choice that scored Powers to make it 3-2.
But Bees pitcher Jake Harmony (Endicott) induced a ground ball for the final out.
