How would Larry Bird fare in today's NBA?

Podcast host, former NBA player and Pike High School coach Jeff Teague believes current fans are seeing how Bird would compete in the form of three-time MVP Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets.

“Watching Jokic highlights and y’all thinking how good Jokic is? How good you think Larry Bird would be right now? Because when I watch older people play, they be like, 'He ain’t athletic, he ain’t this,'" Teague said on his "Club 520" podcast. "But then when I watch Jokic it’s just like he is walking around, he just make it look so simple. Like if Larry Bird played right now, like Luka and Jokic, (he'd) just be walking around. Larry Bird would average 30 (points), 10 (rebounds), 8 (assists).”

Bird, the Springs Valley High School and Indiana State star in his youth, won three MVP awards while with the Boston Celtics between 1979-92.

Teague, who played 12 NBA seasons between 2009-21 and earned one All-Star berth, and his co-hosts also discussed Bird's impact compared to Kevin Durant and Scottie Pippen.

Anyway, enjoy some Bird and Jokic passing highlights.
