The Houston Texans are upping their short-term financial commitment to the team's top pass catcher.
Wide receiver Nico Collins and the team agreed to a revised contract that will pay him an additional $17 million over the next two seasons and also guarantee his salary over that span, his agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter on May 26.
Collins's base salary for next season will be $29 million after a $9 million raise. His 2027 salary will be $29.2 million following an $8 million bump.
The reset helps bring the two-time Pro Bowl selection closer in line with the top of the receiver market, which has accelerated rapidly since Collins signed a three-year, $72.75 million extension in May 2024. Collins previously had no guaranteed money beyond 2026 on his deal, which has two years remaining.
Collins tied for ninth in the NFL in 2025 with 1,117 receiving yards.
Texans general manager Nick Caserio shot down speculation of the team moving Collins this offseason, saying after Day 2 of the draft, "We're not trading Nico."
