Going into the coming season, there are several NFL coaches who may be fighting for their jobs.
Some of the names on this list may surprise you. Here are the coaches who may be handed a pink slip by the end of the season.
Despite winning the Super Bowl a few years ago, Sirianni is under fire because of the Eagles' struggles, especially on offense. The Eagles seem to always struggle on offense, and it came to a head last year. Now the pressure is not only on quarterback Jalen Hurts, but Sirianni as well, to right the ship, or he may be seeking a new job.
Vrabel is on this list for obvious reasons: the scandal between him and Dianna Russini. Now, so far, he’s been able to escape unscathed; however, if the Patriots don’t have a good year and if more things continue to come out, owner Robert Kraft may decide that Vrabel is too much of a distraction to the team and fire him.
Out of all the coaches on this list, his seat may be the hottest. After getting off to a fast start last season, the Bucs collapsed and eventually not only lost the division but also didn’t make the playoffs. Many thought he’d be fired, but he survived, at least for now. But if the team doesn’t make the playoffs this year, Bowles may be out of there this time.
Like Todd Bowles, Aaron Glenn was also on the chopping block, especially when it appeared that he was asleep at the NFL Combine earlier this year, which made Jets fans hot. It’s going to be interesting to see how Glenn navigates this season, knowing his job is most likely on the line.
The organization didn’t exactly help his cause by not going after a big-name offensive player; instead, they are placing his future on Geno Smith, who finds himself in trouble because of a domestic dispute. Glenn and Smith may both be pink-slipped if the team doesn’t show any improvement.
