How would you rate the NFC East head coaches?

Sports writer and MLB author John Frascella took on the task, not only ranking the NFC East head coaches, but ranking all 32 NFL head coaches from within their own division. I'll provide all the rankings, but the focus here will be on Frascella ranking Commanders head coach Dan Quinn the lowest among the four NFC East head coaches.

Frascella sees the NFC East from his landscape, and I'm not sure I understand why. Ask anyone following the NFL closely who the best general managers are, and Eagles GM Howie Roseman is guaranteed to be ranked in the top five by anyone attempting to be objective. Yet very few of those same people would rank Eagles HC Nick Sirianni among the top five coaches. Yet, Frascella has Sirianni ranked ahead of the New York Giants' John Harbaugh, Brian Schottenheimer (Cowboys) and Dan Quinn (Commanders) in that order.

Ranking all 32 NFL Head Coaches by division:

AFC East

1. Mike Vrabel
2. Joe Brady
3. Jeff Hafley
4. Aaron Glenn

AFC North

1. Jesse Minter
2. Mike McCarthy
3. Zac Taylor
4. Todd Monken

AFC South

1. DeMeco Ryans
2. Liam Coen
3. Shane Steichen
4. Robert Saleh

AFC West

We will never know, of course, but can you see Nick Sirianni or Schottenheimer going to Atlanta and leading the Falcons to the Super Bowl? Quinn led a tremendous 2024 Washington season as well, when the Commanders went from 4-13 in Ron Rivera's last year to 12-5 and two playoff road wins. Perhaps Quinn is most noted by Frascella for, unfortunately, the Falcons blowing a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl against the Patriots and losing in overtime? What other reason would Frascella have to rate Quinn below even Schottenheimer? But is that even objective? For instance, has Schottenheimer coached an NFL team to a conference title and the Super Bowl? Dan Quinn has.

Here are the eight divisional head coaching rankings by Frascella:

AFC East 1. Mike Vrabel 2. Joe Brady 3. Jeff Hafley 4. Aaron Glenn

AFC North 1. Jesse Minter 2. Mike McCarthy 3. Zac Taylor 4. Todd Monken

AFC South 1. DeMeco Ryans 2. Liam Coen 3. Shane Steichen 4. Robert Saleh

AFC West 1. Andy Reid 2. Sean Payton 3. Klint Kubiak 4. Jim Harbaugh

NFC East 1. Nick Sirianni 2. John Harbaugh 3. Brian Schottenheimer 4. Dan Quinn

NFC North 1. Ben Johnson 2. Matt LaFleur 3. Kevin O’Connell 4. Dan Campbell

NFC South 1. Dave Canales 2. Kellen Moore 3. Kevin Stefanski 4. Todd Bowles

NFC West 1. Sean McVay 2. Mike Macdonald 3. Kyle Shanahan 4. Mike LaFleur

It's, of course, time to remind everyone that rankings are always subjective.
