I had trouble with the start last year they auto renewed without asking me I was still waiting because at the time I had no idea if Covid was cutting the start of the season or not. But once I renewed everything went smoothly and I plan to do so again this year.

The actual streaming I never really had an issue beyond there's a delay, people watching on "regular" tv see it before you do, sometimes the delay seems like it's as much as 30 seconds based on posts on this boards game threads. But I've learned to deal with that.

This will be my first year without Sunday Ticket since 2007. Going full Firestick on em. Looking forward to it!

Been streaming everything, including NFL and college football, for 5 years. It's improved every year and haven't had a hiccup in the last 2-3 yrs, it just keeps getting better. I have Gig Internet, no cable or satellite anymore and I don't miss a thing but it's definitely not for everyone....then again I'm a tech nerd when it comes to streaming and TV devices lol

Please blindseyed, how about a short version of streaming for dummies. How do you stream NFL/CFB? What streaming service do you use? How does this work? Readers Digest version

Once it hits streaming why cant fans pay for what games they want?

Why be locked into a bunch of games every week that I have no intention of viewing.

I meant now it has to be affordable in order for me to consider purchasing it. Very bad wording on my part. I have no doubt they'll try to suck the consumers dry.
$16.60 a game/week imo is super affordable….

where are you seeing that price? it’s like over $360 last I looked
It’s actually less it’s 293.94 for nfl Sunday ticket and 395.00 if you want the max plan. Which is a waste if your primary reason is to watch your team. But yet you still can watch every other game in the entire season every single week…. Works out to slightly more then a buck a game for the whole season. For NFL football imo that’s a steal. The complaining about the cost of Sunday ticket has been over the top for years. People were bitching when it was 189.00 and all I could do was Smh. Still do.

That’s not even counting all the years you could call in and bitch and get it greatly reduced and or the whole season free. IMO Sunday ticket is and has always been an incredible value.

I went online just to look and entered my information and directv said sorry, you're not eligible for streaming but you may still have a way to catch the 2019 season. WTF. I guess somehow I got an old link?

Little more googling and I found I am of course eligible and will renew. Years ago they somehow screwed up and now I can't have my regular gmail as my login no matter what they do, they can't get it to work. So I had to create a 2nd gmail account because you have to have a valid email to use the streaming service. I only ever use that email to login and pay each year.

To me it wasn’t the ticket cost. It was the fact it has to have direct tv and the entirety of the cost.

I've always complained about the cost but it's as someone else said, you have to pay the freight on Directv so the Ticket is on top of that. You're right though, if you're already paying for cable/Dish whatever, less than $20 a game to watch all Cards games is a bargain. They gave me last year for free anyway
I got over it.

I get that. I knew buddies that would keep the very basic package available for directv year round…. It wasn’t much iirc

I officially cancelled it after the season last year and and just sold my house. I’m renting back. I will be at the casino watching games this year.

Spoke too soon. Tried to update my credit card online tonight so I could renew for the upcoming season "INTERNAL SERVER ERROR." 34 minutes and 5 CS people later they promised to call me back tomorrow they THINK they're doing a system upgrade and that's why it won't work. Tried 4 different browsers all have the server error message. 2 of the people I spoke to said my email address is wrong, as I was logged in with that address. i gave them the account # and they said something is wrong there's all kinds of stuff coming up.

So they eventually stated we can't update your info by phone tonight either we will call you back tomorrow night

So much of customer service is getting the right person. Last night was a cluster the first person who helped me was nice but she was not allowed to change the card for me.

This morning I did the online chat and karen, yes her name was karen fixed my situation in 2 minutes. She didn't update the card she agreed it gave a server error message and she said try this link, which allowed me to pay for this years Sunday ticket to go, by credit card without needing to change it in the system. Got a confirmation, and it shows in my account. The credit card info linked to my account is still old but presumably they will eventually fix the system so I can update.

So I should be good to go when the season starts

I haven't paid in years. The actual service cost is outrageous though and channel lineup seems to shift.

In my guide there is a "channel" that says I get Sunday ticket Max for free this year

This will be my last year with DTV though.

Hopefully, whatever streaming option they land on can have a DVR, start from the beginning, pause, etc with it and/or have the full game up quickly

That is my biggest issue currently with streaming sports. You have to be there at the start, if something comes up you can't pause it and if you know you have a conflict and want to just watch it later it can be hours before the replay is available

I almost never watch the NFL in real time

I haven't subscribed the last two years, but today I got a notice in the mail from Directv that I'm getting Sunday Ticket Max for free this season. Sounds too good to be true but I guess it is! Includes the Red Zone channel which is like crack for me.

I've been with DirecTravesty® (as my friend calls them) since 2004. Great company until AT&T came along and acquired them in 2015. Reason for starting & staying with them? Sunday Ticket, like many others.

Last year with the cost getting out of hand, I called to cancel and finagled a $60/month discount for 12 months to stay. Cool. A week later my pal who is also a longtime sub got the "you got ST free" email, but I didn't, presumably because I was getting this fat new discount. So I went into chat with them and said hey, I received this email a week ago saying I was receiving ST for free, but it's not showing up in my account, can you assist? The helpful rep on the other end immediately gave it to me without further finagling. Awesome.

My $60/month discount just expired, so I called the other day to play the same game again. Getting to the right person is indeed the key here. Got passed around several times, FINALLY to someone with actual authority to give a fat discount, and she offered me $55/month off to stay another 12 moths. Done. Now I gotta try to play the same game for ST. Will report back on how that goes.

They should have a mechanism to pay for 1 game at a time. I’d pay $20-25 a game. I’m consistently out of the market/on trips 1/4-1/2 the season. I’ll be home weeks 1-4 and then deployed 5-7. I’ll listen in with game pass and then watch it in its condensed version a few hours later, but that sucks. Last year when we played Minnesota the audio broadcast literally cut seconds before the FG attempt. I refreshed the scores to figure out they actually missed the attempt and the cardinals won.
