Mark your calendars, Denver Broncos fans. Early March will be even more hectic than usual in the NFL.
The league announced key dates for the 2026 season and 2027 offseason last week, and the combine is set to run right into free agency, which hasn't been typical in past NFL offseasons.
The combine will be held in Indianapolis from March 1-8. One day after the combine concludes, the NFL's free agency negotiating window will open on Tuesday, March 9. Teams will then be allowed to negotiate with pending free agents from other clubs. NFL free agency will officially open (and contracts can officially be signed) when the new league year begins on Thursday, March 11.
Here are a few other upcoming dates that NFL fans should know:
Up next for the Broncos is the start of training camp (July 31), followed by three preseason games in August. After that, Denver will open the regular season on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football on Sept. 14.
