There have been many that just didn't have what was needed to succeed. Sometimes the support failed them too. That's why teams have to pay out the nose for a QB that has shown even a moderate kind of success starting in this league. It's rare, because just half the teams have winning records just about, and the losing teams are looking for signal callers half the time.
No easy answers. Sometimes you just hope and pray the draft can produce that need for u, when u need it. Or be prepared to sacrifice other needs to fill a more critical one.
