The NFL Scouting Combine is over and the participants must wait patiently for late April so the 2026 NFL Draft can begin.
Texas A&M had three players drafted last year, while Texas set a program record with 12 taken in seven rounds. That number may shift this year because the Aggies had a program-record 13 players travel to Indianapolis for the combine; the Longhorns had six.

With A&M's strong showing, a few Aggies, such as KC Concepcion and Cashius Howell, may be drafted in the first round. For the Longhorns, many of their prospects are projected for Day 2 or Day 3 of the draft.

Several outlets released updated mock drafts after the combine. Here is where Aggies and Longhorns may go, according to ESPN, USA TODAY, CBS and Fox.
The wide receiver only played one year in College Station and finished with nine touchdowns and 919 yards on 61 receptions.
With a crowded list of potential first- and second-round receivers, ESPN's Jordain Reid predicts that Concepcion will be drafted 27th by the San Francisco 49ers. Concepcion is "explosive," Reid writes, with "many traits that translate to success in coach Kyle Shanahan's scheme."

Fox Sports and NFL.com noted that Kansas City needs a bit more speed on their offense and each predicted the Chiefs to select Concepcion 29th.
USA TODAY's Nate Davis says that because of his "average size" Concepcion may be scooped up by the Denver Broncos at 30th in the first round.
Reid notes that whether or not linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson re-signs with New England, the Patriots will need help on the edge — which is where Cashius Howell comes in as the 31st pick. Howell was named the SEC defensive player of the year after collecting 11½ sacks, a conference high. His talent could match well with Patriot LB Harold Landry III who collected 8½ sacks last season.

While Fox Sports and USA Today have Howell going in the second round, NFL.com projects he could go as high as 15th to Tampa Bay because Howell's ability to pressure can work well with head coach Todd Bowles' defense.
Anthony Hill Jr. is the first Texas player to be taken off the board at 46th, according to ESPN's mock draft. The linebacker is known for his physicality, which will be needed if the Buccaneers don't re-sign veteran Lavonte David.
The other three mock drafts were first-round only and did not feature any Longhorns.
