Russell Wilson and Ciara in Seattle for the USMNT World Cup match
Seattle Seahawks legend Russell Wilson returned to his former home stadium to watch the USMNT against Australia.
Wilson spent nine years of his NFL career with the Seahawks, winning the Super Bowl in the 2013 season.
He attended the USMNT’s World Cup game with his wife Ciara, an American singer-songwriter and actress.
One of Wilson’s best ex-Seahawks teammates, Marshawn Lynch, was also in the crowd at Lumen Field.
Lynch was a world-class running back and also played a key role in Seattle’s championship-winning team.
Meanwhile, two NBA stars took the opportunity to watch the USMNT play a World Cup game in their home state (Washington).
The Orlando Magic’s Paolo Banchero and the Sacramento Kings’ Zach LaVine were both spotted at the Seattle Stadium.
The USMNT vs Australia match appears to have been the hottest ticket in town, and the atmosphere lived up to the billing.
Seattle sports fans are known to be among the loudest, and they certainly gave the USA a noticeable home advantage.
