The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the NFL Draft last week. That selection had everyone immediately thinking about the idea of the Bucs offense and how it will just take off like a rocket by the time the season comes around.
Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Egbuka are all going to be fun to watch with Baker Mayfield passing them the ball. But aren't we forgetting someone?
According to the NFL's social media team, no, we aren't. That being said, though, there is someone who is being forgotten about despite a strong end to the 2024 season.
Jalen McMillan was a draft pick for the Bucs last year and finished the season with a total of 461 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Bucs beat reporter Jenna Laine went so far as to point, saying, "Jalen McMillan led the league with seven touchdowns in the final five games of the regular season. When general manager Jason Licht talked about his team’s 'unicorns' Friday, he included McMillan. Can’t leave him out of this."
The NFL will catch up eventually, regardless, the Bucs offense is in very capable hands.
