As we watched Brandon Graham's retirement announcement and his subsequent speech live from the NovaCare Complex, we thought we could never be prouder of him than we were in those moments. A former Philadelphia Eagles first-round selection, one we thought might be a bust at times, was certain to one day be inducted into the franchise's Hall of Fame.

It turns out we were wrong, but not about his standing as an Eagles Hall of Famer. We were wrong about there being a cap on how much he meant to us. Last season, he canceled those early retirement plans. He returned and proved those tires had plenty of tread left.

So, what's next? The first player Howie Roseman drafted said he wants to return for the Eagles' 17th season. Time will tell if that actually happens, but if it doesn't and Philadelphia explores free agency to find a replacement, here are a few possible options worth considering.

Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills

It feels like Joey Bosa is 100 years old. Okay, that was disrespectful, but come on. You know you've felt the same at times, but here's what's nutty. He has aged like a fine wine, and in 2025, he stayed relatively healthy. That was the first time in a long time that he had done that.

He notched five sacks last seen and a ton of pressures, leading to 16 QB hits in total. His five forced fumbles led the league. Make no mistake. Like Graham, Bosa has some tread on those tires if someone feels like kicking them.

Dre'Mont Jones, Baltimore Ravens

A little research led to an intriguing stat. Dre'Mont Jones has never had more than three missed tackles in his seven-year NFL career. That alone would make Eagles fans stand up and cheer.

The Ravens acquired Jones at the trade deadline, and he immediately paid dividends. Between his nine games with them and nine more with the Tennessee Titans, he tallied 43 tackles and seven sacks. He might be someone the Eagles want to look at if Baltimore elects to move on or can't afford to keep him.

K'Lavon Chaisson, New England Patriots

People tend to disagree about market values on lists like these. Here's a random opinion. If the Eagles are exploring bang-for-buck additions, K'Lavon Chaisson might be less expensive than Brandon Graham and Jaelan Phillips.

He didn't get a ring this past February, but he now has championship experience. That's always a plus for a team in search of a Lombardi Trophy. Chaisson has never really warranted that first-round selection that was used to add him, but perhaps he'd thrive with a change of scenery.

Kwity Paye, Indianapolis Colts

From one reclamation project to another, Kwity Paye, like Chaisson, hasn't lived up to the billing as a Day 1 draft selection. He has logged decent numbers, but the vibe is that he's capable of more and is underperforming to some degree.

He has started 74 of his 75 in-game appearances, and he has played a lot of snaps. He logged eight sacks or more in 2023 and 2024, but production slipped to four QB takedowns this most recent season.

Perhaps a rotational role might work? That's all he'd probably be offered in Philadelphia anyway.
