Most Philadelphia Eagles fans spent the opening days of June discussing A.J. Brown. It's understandable. His blockbuster trade to the New England Patriots dominated conversations, social media timelines, and sports radio debates throughout the Delaware Valley.

Quietly, however, another notable Eagles development unfolded in the background. As of June 1, Brandon Graham's contract officially expired. On paper, that closes another chapter in one of the most decorated careers in franchise history.

The Eagles have already added Jonathan Greenard to an edge-rushing group that includes Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt. Graham remains off the 90-man roster, and at the moment, there appears to be no immediate need for a reunion.

Then again, Eagles fans have learned one lesson over the years: never assume you've seen the last of Brandon Graham. When they find themselves in a pinch, they typically call people they already know.

Graham's name is one of those at the top of the list, so we'll see. As expected, he remains open to one more run. Isn't he always? We've all watched him long enough to know that isn't surprising.

Realistically, the Eagles are moving forward with a younger group of pass rushers, and Graham's playing career may very well be over. Still, NFL seasons are long, injuries happen, and Philadelphia has never been afraid to call trusted veterans when circumstances change.

So while Graham's contract expiration quietly marked the end of his latest stint with the Eagles, it may not be the final chapter. If history has taught us anything, it's that counting Brandon Graham out has rarely been a wise decision.
