The Seattle Seahawks watched both of their NFC West rivals win their playoff matchups on Wild Card Weekend while on their bye week. The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Carolina Panthers 34-31 on Saturday, surviving a comeback scare. The injury-riddled San Francisco 49ers went into Philadelphia and beat the Super Bowl defending champion Eagles 23-19.

The Seahawks will now host the 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs. It's a Week 18 rematch in which the Seahawks defeated the 49ers 13-3 to claim the NFC West division title, No. 1 seed, first-round bye, and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

The NFC West ultimately went 2-0 on Wild Card Weekend. It shouldn't qualify as a surprise. Entering the divisional round, the Seahawks, 49ers, and Rams are a combined 40-7 against everyone else this season, according to data compiled by Underdog Sports' Hayden Winks. ESPN's Field Yates shared that sentiment via social media.

The NFC West is undeniably the best division in football this season. That's precisely why they make-up three of the four remaining teams in the NFC playoffs. It also makes it that much more impressive that the Seahawks won the division and claimed the first-round bye.
